Cape Wine Tour

The Cape Winelands Tour is quite possibly our favourite country drive in South Africa. Our wine tour takes you to the best of the Cape Wine Region.

Driving out of Cape Town you leave Table Mountain behind and head to Simonsberg Mountain. Below this sleeping giant lies Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa.

Stop at a cellar and learn how wine is made and matured and then taste some of the varieties that make the Western Cape such a famous wine region.

Take a drive through the heart of Stellenbosch Town, enjoy the oak-lined streets, period architecture and walk around “Oom Samie Se Winkel” (Uncle Sam’s Shop) for an interesting curio shopping experience.

From Stellenbosch you drive over the Helshoogte Pass and onto Franschhoek, the gourmet capital of South Africa. Enjoy the French heritage and delicious food at a restaurant of your choice.

View the Franschhoek Valley from one of its hillside vineyards and enjoy an optional wine tasting.

Drive towards Paarl, the third of the famous trio of wine towns and enjoy a wine and cheese pairing on her slopes, with views of Table Mountain on a clear day, before heading home to Cape Town.
