PLATTEKLIP GEORGE

Zig Zag your way up the fastest route to the summit of Table Mountain. This is the same stone path used before the cableway was built. Look back at postcard views of Table Bay, Robben Island and downtown Cape Town. This is the iconic way up the 7th Natural Wonder of the World. Enjoy time on the summit with many viewpoints and photo opportunities, grab a bite to eat or drink at the cafe on top and experience the cableway back down the mountain.

TABLE MOUNTAIN
SKELETON GORGE TO CABLE STATION

A full day’s hike. Meander and rock scramble through a forest with fresh water streams and some of the oldest trees in Cape Town. Enjoy views of the famous Kirstenbosch  Botanical Gardens. Relax on the white sands of a mountain lake. Trek up a gorgeous nature trail to Maclears Beacon, the highest point on Table Mountain. Enjoy lunch with views of the peninsula. Traverse the face of Table Mountain with views of the city, and Robben Island in the bay. So many panoramic views to soak in before catching the cable car back down the mountain.

A full day hike. Start on a trail following an old water pipeline with the Twelve Apostles Peaks towering above you. Enjoy panoramic views of Lions Head peak the turquoise ocean and white beaches around Camps Bay and the lush vineyards of Constantia. Explore hidden cracks in the mountain where magical forests grow. Enjoy lunch in a shady cavern. Descend a historical trail via the Old Cableway with more breathtaking views of the back face of Table Mountain.

LIONS HEAD
SUNRISE/SUNSET HIKE

Cape Town’s must do hike. An easy to moderate 1.5hour ascent. Enjoy panoramic city views and a gorgeous mountain sunrise or ocean sunset. This is the best way to capture a glowing picture of Table Mountain. Learn about the points of interest in the city below and across the bay as if you were soaring in the sky. Descend into the bright city lights or fun in the sun as a great way to start or end your day in the mother city.
